We will start the “Nepal Bhutan Cultural Tour” from Kathmandu, capital of Nepal. Here, we travel around the UNESCO World Heritage Sites spread around the Kathmandu Valley. Taking some time off from the buzzing city, we also visit the old city of Bhaktapur and the cultural city of Patan that offers art and architecture.

Bumthang Valley Tour

Arrive by flight in Bhutan. Kathmandu to Paro flight operated by Druk Air. Paro airport is situated at the 2,200 m elevation above sea level. Reception will be done by the guide at the Paro airport. Paro is a charming place with streets lined with weeping willows, stately poplar trees, brightly painted houses with shingled roofs held down by round stones, and rice or wheat terraces planted along the valley floor depending on the flight timings. Thimphu is at an altitude of 2350 meters above sea level, 55 km from Paro and takes an hour’s drive to reach Thimphu. We stop at many scenic spots for photography or walk to Tachogang Monastery. Stop along the way at the Chujomsa confluence that separates the Paro and Thimphu valleys and the southern part. This is also a checkpoint. Continue to Thimphu. Take a leisurely walk to the handicraft shops, post office and main street. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
