The Ultimate Everest Trek is an adventure of a lifetime, whose dreams are beyond the clouds. Nepal’s Khumbu region boasts some of the most extraordinary high mountain scenery on earth and its popularity as a trekking destination is easy to understand. Hiking up to Everest Base Camp and having the chance to meet the famously friendly Sherpa people is high on the wish list of many adventure travelers. After flying into Lukla, this exciting trek to Everest Base camp takes us via the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar and then up to the sacred lakes in the stunning Gokyo Valley. Here, we climb Gokyo Ri which is one of the finest vantage points for Mount Everest (8,848.46 m).

Continuing our journey to base-camp, we cross into the Khumbu Valley by way of the high and challenging Cho La (5,420 m). Then, from Lobuche, we trek up to Everest Base Camp and drop back to spend just a single night at the highest lodges in the Khumbu, at Gorakshep (5,140 m). From here, we can ascend to the ‘trekkers summit’ of Kala Patthar (5,600 m) for more superb views of Everest and of the astonishing Khumbu Ice-fall, before trekking out by way of the famous and recently restored monastery at Tengboche. Staying in comfortable Sherpa lodges throughout, this circuit of the Everest National Park provides a comprehensive taste of the Khumbu that is hard to beat within a 3-week adventure holiday.

After have taste of the sublime beauty of Everest Base Camp your journey ends and need to back to Lukla to take a short flight to Kathmandu. Also at rest day in Kathmandu of this trip, which we particularly recommend for a first visit to Nepal: old royal cityBhaktapur Durbar, Buddhist stupa – Bouddhnath and Hindu temple – Pashupatinath.

  14. Day 14 Kathmandu, Reserve Day

Famous for its hilly airports, Nepal offers many domestic flights giving you access to all parts of the country. When there is less time in Nepal, it is better to take a local flight to avoid long journeys. Mountain weather is often unpredictable, but it’s best to add one or two buffer days after your trek to adjust the time for flight delays. If you are planning an international flight around one of your domestic flights from a mountainous area, add at least one day of buffer travel days to your itinerary if possible. We will meet again in the evening for a farewell dinner at one of the best Nepali restaurants in the city, where we will be eager to hear your feedback about the trip.

Here is information about possible one-day activities. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the main attractions of the Kathmandu Valley are three Durbar Square (Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur) and four temples and stupas (Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Pashupatinath Temple and Changu Narayan Temple). If you want to walk all day (8 hours), you can visit any four places [Boudhanath, Pashupatinath Temple, Changu Narayan Temple and Bhaktapur Durbar Square] or [Swayambhunath, Bungmati, Patan Durbar Square and Kathmandu Durbar Square] in one day. We can arrange a day trip at your request, and the service user will have to pay extra directly for it. Customers can hire a guide and car or rent a car. Stay overnight at the hotel with daily breakfast.

  15. Day 15 Kathmandu: Depart anytime!

After breakfast, you should leave your room and store your luggage at the hotel and relax in the hotel lobby or explore the surrounding local market for last minute shopping for friends and family until you head to the airport for your flight back home.

Due to limited space at Kathmandu Airport, all airlines have requested to report at the check-in counter three hours before the actual flight departure time. Therefore, we will pick you up from the hotel three and a half hours in advance, as the estimated travel time to the airport is around half an hour.

We hope that your visit to Nepal and the activities you do during your visit will remind you to visit Nepal again in the future. As per the service policy of Jagadamba Holidays, your journey will conclude with a farewell at the airport. Have a safe and pleasant journey ahead. Thank you, see you again!

Hotels, Tea Houses and Lodges

The accommodation we use may vary depending on our package travel and the range of travel destinations. Before or after the trip you can book comfortable hotels in cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara for your stay. If you book a tea house trekking trip, we will provide a small two-bed room for sharing in the hill lodges which is a basic facility but very clean.

Now, better-equipped lodges are also available in Annapurna and Everest areas but we recommend trekkers to use accommodation above 3,500 meters where clean rooms and clean food are readily available. Sometimes a level of flexibility may be required when trekking in remote mountain areas. We believe that you will complete your vacation without any problems and have the trip of a lifetime. If you book camping/trekking, our camping team will manage a comfortable camping site by the river where possible.

There will usually be a dedicated support team on the trip to move luggage and equipment, set up camp, and prepare your food. You will find more detailed information about travel accommodation which is mentioned separately in the lodging section of each vacation package page.

However, you can expect excellent service and high quality in any budget range you choose. You can learn more about different types of travel and their features and the proposed travel price by contacting us directly where we will be very pleased to answer your questions. We always try to choose comfortable accommodation with local character reflecting the best value based on twin share accommodation.

When you book a trip, unless you request a private single room, we will arrange for you to share a twin bed room with a person of the same gender. If you request a private single room, you will need to pay a single room supplementary fee. Please note that during the trek, if the destination is 4000 meters above sea level, only dormitory accommodation with private beds will be available. On trekking trips we try our best but do not promise guaranteed room options. For most of our camping trips, we supply branded two-person tents, including groundsheets.

Mess tent, kitchen tent, toilet tent, service plates, bowls, and all necessities are provided. Members of the mountaineering travel group are requested to manage according to the options given on the website.
