Express Mardi Himal Trek

Upon arrival in Pokhara, Jagadamba Holidays representatives will welcome you at Pokhara Airport with a Jagadamba Holidays placard (Jagadamba Holidays signboard). In case of late night arrival, private transportation to the hotel will be arranged by the representative. Clients will be notified of tour briefings and group meeting times by a representative.

In the meeting we discuss the travel plans and services and introduce the trek or tour guide as per the itinerary. You must completely fill up a legally binding travel form and a non-liability disclaimer form. If any person’s tour payment is due, such person must pay at this meeting. After breakfast at the lodge, we will begin our journey today. After arriving at Kande (1,770 m), your Mardi Himal Trek holiday journey will begin. You will pass stone steps, terraced fields and villages and forests before reaching the Australian camp (2,055 m). We continue our trek to Pitam Deurali (2,100 m) which is a small village with beautiful view of Annapurna South, Mardi Himal and Machhapuchhre. Pitam Deurali is our first day of Mardi Himal Trek. In today’s trekking journey we climbed 600 meters and descended 150 meters. The walking distance is about 6 km and it takes about 4-5 hours to reach the destination. During the trek, lunch will be arranged in the middle of the destination or at the destination according to your appetite. We will arrange your stay at the lodge (bed, dinner and breakfast).

After breakfast at the lodge, we will begin our journey today. Our route passes through lush green forests dotted with red rhododendrons. Flowers are a common sight in the mountains of Nepal and it is the national flower of Nepal. Our trail is pretty quiet until we get to the Forest Camp (2,550 m) or Kokar. One can relax a while in the Forest Camp which is locally known as Kokar. Appreciating the rich biological diversity of Nepal, we will reach the Low Camp (2,970 m) through dense forest. From here, the panoramic view of Machhapuchhre Himal in the valley is fascinating. In the evening one can observe the local lifestyle for some time. Low Camp is our second day of Mardi Himal Trek. In today’s trekking journey we climbed 1100 meters and descended 200 meters. The walking distance is about 12 km and it takes about 6-7 hours to reach the destination. During the trek, lunch will be arranged in the middle of the destination or at the destination according to your appetite. We will arrange your stay at the lodge (bed, dinner and breakfast).

After breakfast at the lodge, we will begin our journey toda. We trek uphill alongside a ridge towards Mardi Himal and Machhapuchchhre. The tree lines start getting thinner and the area mostly consists of shrubs with isolated rhododendron bushes along the trail. If lucky, we might even come across the Daphne pheasant (national bird of Nepal) on our way to High Camp. We ascend up to the high camp, which is the final destination of the Trek. From here one can see the mountain views are stunning. High Camp is our third day of Mardi Himal Trek. In today’s trekking journey we climbed 600 meters and descended zero meters. The walking distance is about 4 km and it takes about 4-5 hours to reach the destination. During the trek, lunch will be arranged in the middle of the destination or at the destination according to your appetite. We will arrange your stay at the lodge (bed, dinner and breakfast).

After breakfast at the lodge, we will begin our journey today. On our trek to the Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500 m), we walk up and down, and sometimes on steep and narrow paths. Our trail goes through pastures and we walk along a narrow ridge before reaching the Mardi Himal base camp or the upper view point. The view of the Himalayan vista from here is amazing. Trekkers can enjoy the scenery in clear weather. We can see the best views of surrounding peaks from the Mardi Himal Base Camp such as Mardi Himal (5,587 m), Annapurna I (8,091 m), Annapurna South (7,219 m), Hiuchuli (6,441 m), Baraha Peak (7,647 m ). Besides that we also see the Tent Peak (5,695 m), Sinhachuli (6,501 m), and Machhapuchchhre Himal (6,93 m).

We will stay in High Camp tonight as well. In today’s Mardi Himal base camp day trip we climbed 900 meters and descended 1200 meters. The walking distance is about 13.8 km and it takes about 6-7 hours to reach the destination and back to Badal Danda (3,300 m). During the trek, lunch (pack) will be arranged in the middle of the destination or at the destination according to your appetite. We will arrange your stay at the lodge (bed, dinner and breakfast).

After breakfast at the lodge, we will begin our journey today. Our trip today to Siding (1,850 m) is downhill trekking. Today, everyone moves from higher altitudes to lower altitudes. We will follow the main trail from High Camp to Low Camp and turn east from Low Camp to reach Siding. Today’s trekking is a different route that makes us experience something different and makes our trek exciting. Siding provides a quiet retreat for hikers away from busy trails. In today’s trekking journey we climbed zero meters and descended 1,850 meters. The walking distance is about 5.2 km and it takes about 4-5 hours to reach the destination. During the trek, lunch will be arranged in the middle of the destination or at the destination according to your appetite.

After a while rest in Siding, we will go to Pokhara by private vehicle which takes two and half hours to reach Pokhara (820 m). On arrival in Pokhara, bid farewell to your guide and porter for their excellent service and a successful Mardi Himal trek. After breakfast, you should leave your room and store your luggage at the hotel and relax in the hotel lobby or explore the surrounding local market for last minute shopping for friends and family until you head to the airport for your flight back home.

Due to limited space at Pokhara Airport, all airlines have requested to report at the check-in counter one hours before the actual flight departure time. Therefore, we will pick you up from the hotel one and a half hours in advance, as the estimated travel time to the airport is around half an hour.
