    Sarangkot Sunrise Tour

Sarangkot is a small hill located north of Pokhara and it takes 30 minutes to reach there by car. The height of this mountain is 1,600 meters above sea level. This place is famous for both locals and foreigners to watch the sunrise early in the morning.

    World Peace Stupa

The Vishwa Shanti Stupa (World Peace Stupa) is built as a symbol of peace on the Anadu hill west of Pokhara and is located at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level. Nichidatsu Fuji, a Japanese citizen, laid the foundation stone on 12 September 1973 with the Buddha’s relics. From the stupa, one can see a panoramic view of Phewa Lake, Mount Annapurna range and Pokhara Valley. One can also experience the thrill of cycling and trekking on the way to the stupa.

    Devi’s Falls

Next to Gupteswor Mahadev Cave, Davis Falls is a small waterfall that flows through the aforementioned cave. It is 500 meters long and 100 feet deep. Although the waterfall flows throughout the year, it is best viewed from June to September. An interesting note about the waterfall is that it flows down some cliffs before disappearing into an underground tunnel leading to Gupteswor Mahadev Cave. Its official name is Palate Chhango. However, it is more popularly known as Davis Falls or Devi’s Falls.

    Gupteswore Shiv Cave

Gupteswor Mahadev Cave is the main attraction of Pokhara. The most famous cave in Nepal is Gupteswor Mahadev Cave, located near Devi’s Falls. It is also the longest cave (2950 meters) in Nepal. It is said that this cave was found outside the Gupteswor Mahadev cave in the 16th century. The water of Devi’s Falls flows from Gupteswor Mahadev Cave. The main cave entrance was not constructed until 1991. The main cave consists of two rooms in which several shrines are located. The largest of these temples is dedicated to Shiva. There is lighting in the cave with power back-up although bringing your own head torch is recommended.

    Phewa Lake Pokhara

Phewa Lake or Fewa Lake or Phewa Taal is a freshwater lake in Nepal, formerly known as Baidam Lake, in the south-west of the Pokhara Valley, which also includes the city of Pokhara, parts of Sarangkot and Kanskikot. The Phewa Taal is the second largest lake in Nepal and it is also a semi-natural fresh water lake surrounded by Rani Van or Queen’s forest and the clear lake water has a stunning reflection of Annapurna and Fishtail mountains. Pokhara is a perfect place to experience the ever so glorious Himalayan sunrise. Tal Barahi temple also known as ‘Island Temple’ or ‘Barahi Temple’ is a Hindu temple of the Durga and it is the most important religious monument in Nepal. This temple is located on a small island in the middle of the lake. Since the temple is located on a small island, the only way to reach it is by boat.
