During trekking to Toktok, we climb 310 meters and descend 450 meters. Phakding is Toktok’s largest neighborhood, where most people spend their first night. Therefore, we will trek to Toktok which is less busy, less touristy and more comfortable to stay. During the trek, lunch will be arranged in the middle of the destination or at the destination depending on your appetite. We will arrange your stay at the lodge (Bed, Dinner and Breakfast). Walking Distance: 8.6 km (3-4 Hours)

    Special Note:
Please read this note. As there is no direct flight from Kathmandu to Lukla for any reason, you have to go to Manthali airport in Ramechhap from Kathmandu at 2-3 in the morning. Usually, It takes about 4-5 hours to reach Ramechhap from Kathmandu. It takes 5-6 hours to return from Manthali at the end of the trek depending on the road traffic jam.

  3. Day 3 Trek from Toktok to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)

Before preparing for the trek to Namche Bazaar, the largest Sherpa village in Nepal, we should all have breakfast in Toktok. During trekking to Namche Bazaar, we climb 1,150 meters and descend 350 meters. Once we reach the entrance of Mount Everest National Park and spend some time completing the National Park permit check formalities, we resume our trek. To enjoy the view from both eyes and mind, we stop at Chautara and walk for more than an hour and a half to reach our hotel in Namche Bazaar. During the trek, lunch will be arranged in the middle of the destination or at the destination depending on your appetite. We will arrange your stay at the lodge (Bed, Dinner and Breakfast). Walking Distance: 10.5 km (5-6 Hours)

  4. Day 4 Rest day in Namche Bazaar, Optional Day Hike!

Health experts have suggested tourists to get in the habit of walking at high altitudes while resting in Namche Bazaar. Therefore, in Namche Bazaar, we take a well-deserved break in preparation for a trip to the high Himalayas! Additionally, you can spend your day exploring the Namche market. Visit the Sherpa Museum to see the Sherpa culture and mountaineering history. Generally, on a convenient day in Namche Bazaar, tourists take a short walk to Everest View Hotel, which offers panoramic views of mountains like Lhotse, Tawachwe, Khumbila and Mount Everest.

Today, during our excursion to the
    Everest View Hotel

, we climb 540 meters and descend 540 meters. Namche Bazaar is the main center of the Everest region and the only place in the area with government offices, ATMs, internet cafes, shops, restaurants, hotels, bakeries and colorful markets. If you are in Namche on Saturday, don’t forget to visit the Haat Bazaar (the local weekly market is only open on Saturdays). It is a part of the big Namche market, a shopping center full of all kinds of hiking and is mountaineering clothes and equipment. During the trek, lunch will be arranged in the middle of the destination or at the destination depending on your appetite. We will arrange your stay at the lodge (Bed, Dinner and Breakfast). Walking Distance: 5.4 km (3-4 Hours)

  5. Day 5 Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,840 m)

Wake up for breakfast in Namche, then retrace your steps return to Lukla following the Dudh Koshi River Valley. It’s a long day, but it won’t be too difficult since it’s downhill and you’ll be in good shape from the previous days of trekking. You will make your way through villages such as Chumoa, Benkar, Phakding and Chuthawa, finally reaching the Pasang Lhamu Memorial Gate which marks the end of the trek.

Although most of the route is an easy downhill slope, the last part of the trail before the summit takes you uphill – a fitting way to finish. On the way from Namche to Monjo, guide has to show permits at the permit check post before leaving the national park thus he will keep your required trekking permit till the trip ends in Kathmandu. During the trek, lunch will be arranged in the middle of the destination or at the destination depending on your appetite. With Lukla’s handful of shops, bars, and cafes—and even a fake Starbucks!—there’s plenty to occupy your time as you reflect on your experience. We will arrange your stay at the lodge (Bed, Dinner and Breakfast). Walking Distance: 19.1 km (7-8 Hours)

We always book first and direct round flights whenever possible, so when the weather permits, usually, you arrive in Kathmandu at 8 am and return to the hotel at 9 am. But, it all depends on the weather. Upon your return to Kathmandu, we will transfer you to the hotel for a good bath and relaxation! We will meet again in the evening for a farewell dinner at one of the best Nepali restaurants in the city, where we will be eager to hear your feedback about the trip. If there is no direct flight for any reason, arrangements will be made to fly to Kathmandu according to the alternative arrangement. I request you to read the special note in the DAY 02. Stay overnight at the hotel with daily breakfast.

    Special Note:
Don’t forget to use the window seat on the left side of the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and the window seat on the right side of the flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Also, depending on the plane, be sure to avoid the middle of the plane, where the wings can block your view. Note that you can’t book a seat first – it is just first come first serve. Weight restriction 15kg / 33lb (10 kg check in / 5 kg carry on) should be brought on board. If you exceed the restrictions, you will have to pay a hefty fee per kilogram.

  7. Day 7 Kathmandu: Depart anytime!

After breakfast, you should leave your room and store your luggage at the hotel and relax in the hotel lobby or explore the surrounding local market for last minute shopping for friends and family until you head to the airport for your flight back home.

Due to limited space at Kathmandu Airport, all airlines have requested to report at the check-in counter three hours before the actual flight departure time. Therefore, we will pick you up from the hotel three and a half hours in advance, as the estimated travel time to the airport is around half an hour.

We hope that your visit to Nepal and the activities you do during your visit will remind you to visit Nepal again in the future. As per the service policy of Jagadamba Holidays, your journey will conclude with a farewell at the airport. Have a safe and pleasant journey ahead. Thank you, see you again!

Accommodation offered during the trip

The accommodation we use may vary depending on our package travel and the range of travel destinations. Before or after the trip you can book comfortable hotels in cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara for your stay. If you book a tea house trekking trip, we will provide a small two-bed room for sharing in the hill lodges which is a basic facility but very clean.

Now, better-equipped lodges are also available in Annapurna and Everest areas but we recommend trekkers to use accommodation above 3,500 meters where clean rooms and clean food are readily available. Sometimes a level of flexibility may be required when trekking in remote mountain areas. We believe that you will complete your vacation without any problems and have the trip of a lifetime. If you book camping/trekking, our camping team will manage a comfortable camping site by the river where possible.

There will usually be a dedicated support team on the trip to move luggage and equipment, set up camp, and prepare your food. You will find more detailed information about travel accommodation which is mentioned separately in the lodging section of each vacation package page.

However, you can expect excellent service and high quality in any budget range you choose. You can learn more about different types of travel and their features and the proposed travel price by contacting us directly where we will be very pleased to answer your questions. We always try to choose comfortable accommodation with local character reflecting the best value based on twin share accommodation.

When you book a trip, unless you request a private single room, we will arrange for you to share a twin bed room with a person of the same gender. If you request a private single room, you will need to pay a single room supplementary fee. Please note that during the trek, if the destination is 4000 meters above sea level, only dormitory accommodation with private beds will be available. On trekking trips we try our best but do not promise guaranteed room options. For most of our camping trips, we supply branded two-person tents, including groundsheets.

Mess tent, kitchen tent, toilet tent, service plates, bowls, and all necessities are provided. Members of the mountaineering travel group are requested to manage according to the options given on the website.
