Swayambhunath

Swayambhunath stupa also called Monkey Temple. The Swayambhu Stupa crowns a hill to the west of Kathmandu. The huge white domed stupa surrounded by 13-stepped spires is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal and it is said to be 2000 years old.

Boudhanath Stupa

It is located about 6 km east of the center of Kathmandu and is the largest stupa in the valley. It is 36 meters high and presents one of the most striking examples of stupa design. There are more than 45 Buddhist monasteries in the region.

Pashupatinath

Pashupatinath temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples in the world, located 5 km east of the city center. The richly ornate pagoda houses the sacred linga, or phallic symbol, of Lord Shiva. History indicates the existence of the temple before 400 AD.

KTM Durbar Square

Kathmandu is both the capital of Nepal and the country’s largest city. Some of the interesting places in the city include Kathmandu Durbar Square, Kal-Bhairav, Kamari-Devi, Basantpur, Museum, Narayanhiti Museum Palace, and Garden of Dreams.
