Our Story

Nar Bahadur Bohara (Narendra), the founder and Managing Director of Jagadamba Holidays Private Limited, hails from Achham, a remote region nestled in the Far Western Mountains of Nepal. Born into humble beginnings, Bohara’s life was marked by adversity from infancy. Orphaned by his father at just nine months old and by his mother at the tender age of three, he was raised by his uncles amidst extreme poverty. Despite these challenges, Bohara pursued his education while tending to cattle until completing high school. In 1996, with no financial resources, he embarked on a journey to Kathmandu in search of opportunities to further his college education.

Bohara’s unwavering commitment to honesty, hard work, dedication, and a desire to serve humanity has been the cornerstone of his character, evident since he began his career as a employee in tourism industry in 1996. After two transformative years gaining experience in trekking, tours, and travels, he ascended to the managerial position of a struggling trekking agency. Even then, Bohara continued to work as tour and trekking itineraries expert, demonstrating his hands-on approach and dedication to the craft.

With his wealth of experience and steadfast values, Bohara founded Jagadamba Holidays Private Limited in 2019, assembling a team of seasoned Sherpas and trekking and tour guides. Today, in a short span, Jagadamba Holidays Private Limited has emerged as a premier destination management adventure travel company based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Under Bohara’s leadership, the company adheres to ethical tourism norms and guidelines, specializing in both inbound and outbound tours and adventure travel in the Himalayas.

Oktang Base Camp

The Kanchenjunga base camp is also the longest trek in Nepal. It forces hikers to spend a night at the foot of the world’s third highest mountain. So far, this is the only trekking proposed by Jagdamba Holidays Private Limited in Eastern Nepal. The trekking route to Kanchenjunga Base Camp is less crowded than other trekking routes in Nepal.

Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek

The Langtang-Gosaikunda region is a collection of the Tamang Valley north of Kathmandu, near the border with Tibet. The unpaved road is now a one-day journey from Kathmandu to Dhunche. However, Langtang is a relatively less crowded trekking area. Bill Tillman, a renowned explorer and climbing partner of Eric Shipton, described Langtang as the most beautiful valley in the world. We cross the sacred lake of Gosaikunda and enter Laurebina La Pass (4,610 m) to enter the Helambu valley.

Langtang Valley Trek

The unpaved road is now a day’s journey from Kathmandu to Shyabru Besi. As of the information available to us, Langtang Tserko Ri stands out as a well-liked trekking destination within Nepal’s Langtang region. It’s important to be aware that conditions, regulations, and various details have undergone changes since March 2022. Consequently, obtaining a TIMS permit and engaging the services of at least one staff member from a local agency is now mandatory.

Tsho Rolpa Lake Trek

Tsho Rolpa Lake is a famous lake in Eastern Nepal in the area of Mount Everest and Rolwaling Valley. There are many basic facilities available for this trek, especially from the starting point of the trek to the Gonggar trek. We will be trekking up the ridges rounding the scenic high passes and climbing up gradually into the lovely upper part of this beautiful valley through the mist filled rhododendron, magnolia and oaks forest. Beding village is a large settlement in this region which is situated in a narrow gorge. Who are fit and have time they continue to cross one of the most challenging passes, Tashi Labtsa (5,755 m). After the pass is a pleasant walk to Thame village upto Lukla which is the normal trail of Everest Base Camp Trek.

Pikey Peak Trek

Many say that the view of Mount Everest from Pikey Peak is one of the best in Nepal. In spring, winter, autumn and summer, you can trek to low altitudes in Nepal with incredible mountain peaks. However, it is not advisable to walk in this area as it rains a lot in monsoon.

Gods & Peaks Experience

This “Kali Gandaki Gorge Trek” is called Kali Gandaki Valley Trek, Muktinath Trek, Kagbeni Trek, Shaligram Valley Trek, Muktinath Darshan Yatra, Muktinath Yatra, Muktinath Jeep Tour, and Muktinath and Lumbini Tour. This trip is designed for those who like to travel with pilgrimage and spiritual philosophy of nature and for this, we chose Muktinath and Lumbini. Mukti Kshetra is called Muktinath where there is a temple of Lord Vishnu. To reach the temple, we first fly from Pokhara to Jomsom and therefore do not have to walk many meters to reach Muktinath pilgrimage site which is at an altitude of 3800 meters. At the temple premises, we admire the peaceful coexistence of Hindus and Buddhists who share this place of worship. It is a wonderful place where people can see the light of a burning fire.

Mardi Himal Trek

The Mardi Himal Trek stands out as an excellent choice for a trekking holiday, offering a premier adventure in the Annapurna region. This newly opened trekking trail is less frequented by foreigners, providing a unique and less crowded experience. The changing hues of the peaks during sunrise and sunset create a heavenly ambiance, rewarding hikers with panoramic views of the Annapurna Mountains. The journey begins with a drive to Kande, where we then follow the familiar ABC trek trail to Pitam Deurali. Subsequently, we transition onto the Mardi Himal Trail, and our trek reaches its first overnight stop at Low Camp. Continuing the next day, we proceed to the high camp, continuing our exploration of this captivating route.

Monastery Circuit Trail Trek route covers the areas of lower Khumbu region, which is a mixed inhabited place of Sherpa and other ethnic groups. Khumbu is the home of Mount Everest and other beautiful peaks, and is one of the 50 famous mountain tourism sites in the world. This area has been decorated by the wonderful glacial lakes, rich biodiversity, unique culture,lifestyle, language and the traditional costume of different ethnic groups. Although Buddhism is the dominant religion in the area, Khumbu region is home to many ancient monasteries as well. During this trekking travellers will mostly explore Kurima, Jhylsa, Thupten Choling, Maratika, Kikidhung and en-route many more monasteries.
